Unity Plugin

AI-powered asset generation directly inside the Unity Editor.

Getting Started

The Ludo AI Plugin for Unity lets you generate game-ready sprites, images, 3D models, sound effects, music, and voice lines without leaving the Editor. Rig a generated mesh and animate it from a text prompt in the same window. Describe what you want in plain text and get assets in seconds.

Sprites & Images

Generate sprites, icons, UI assets, textures, and backgrounds. Animate them into spritesheets with up to 64 frames.

3D Models

Convert 2D images into textured 3D models, then rig them and generate skeletal animations from a text prompt. Adjustable face counts, PBR textures, and GLB export.

Audio

Create sound effects, music tracks, character voices, and speech with cloning or 14 preset voices.

1

Install the Plugin

Download the .unitypackage from the latest release and import it with Assets → Import Package → Custom Package. Importing a new version over an old one updates it.

2

Get Your API Key

Log in at app.ludo.ai, open API Keys from the sidebar or the user menu, name your key and click Create key. Copy it right away: it is shown only once.

3

Configure the Plugin

In Unity, open Ludo AI → Ludo AI Plugin from the menu bar. Go to the Settings tab and paste your API key.

4

Start Creating

Switch to the Sprites & Images tab and generate your first asset. Try something simple like “pixel art treasure chest”.

Compatibility

Unity 2020.2+ required. Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Editor-only: generated assets are standard Unity assets that work in all builds. Dependencies (Editor Coroutines, Newtonsoft.Json, WebP) are included.

Plugin Features

Everything you need to generate game assets with AI, organized in four tabs directly inside Unity Editor.

Generate sprites from text descriptions with 30+ art styles (8, 16 and 32-Bit pixel art, Low Poly, Western Cartoon, and more), 10 perspective options (Top-Down, Isometric, Side-Scroll, High Angle, etc.), and multiple aspect ratios. Generate up to 8 variations at once.

Sprites: Art styles, perspectives, aspect ratios, prompt augmentation
Images: 22 image types: icons, logos, UI assets, portraits, card art, backgrounds, tiles, textures and more
Animation: Turn sprites into spritesheets (4-64 frames) with Hydra (which also generates a matching sound effect), Forge, or Forge Pixel for pixel art. Save the spritesheet as PNG, plus a GIF and the sound effect

Convert any 2D image into a textured 3D model, optionally with a back view of the subject so the back of the model matches it instead of being invented. Control face count (1,000-200,000), choose a 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 texture, and select PBR or simple textures. Models export as GLB format with native Unity import. The 3D Models tab runs the whole chain in three subtabs: Create 3D, Rig Model, then Animate 3D.

Face Count: 1K-10K (mobile), 10K-50K (desktop), 50K-200K (hero assets)
Textures: PBR (albedo, normal, roughness, metallic) or simple color textures
Rigging: Add a skeleton and skin weights to a generated or imported GLB. Rig types for general assets, anime-style humanoids, classic game characters, and pinned humanoid templates, with Mixamo-style joint naming that maps to Unity's Humanoid avatar
3D Animation: Describe a motion (“walking”, “swinging its axe”) and get up to 8 candidate clips with MP4 previews, looping, and rotation-only mode for retargeting

Every motion prompt returns several candidates so you can pick the take that fits. Clips come back as animation-only GLBs (skeleton plus motion, no mesh), so download the rigged model alongside them and Unity's GLB importer brings the clips in as animation clips.

Create sound effects (0-10s), background music with optional lyrics, AI-generated character voices, and speech with voice cloning or 14 preset voices across 40+ languages and 8 emotions.

Sound Effects: Describe any sound: sword slashes, footsteps, UI clicks
Music: Background tracks, themes, jingles with genre and mood control
Voice & Speech: Character voices, narration, voice cloning, preset voices with emotions

Asset Organization

Every result has a save button that puts it wherever you choose in your project (3D models default to Assets/3DModels/). Images and spritesheets are saved as PNG, audio as MP3 and models as GLB, so Unity imports them as regular assets, ready for version control and the Inspector.
