Can I go back and make changes to my Game Concept document later or do I have to finish it all in one sitting?

If you want to add a section to your Game Concept document that isn't included in the default options, you can follow these steps to create a custom section:

Art Style: Follow the selected art style.

Aspect Ratio: The aspect ratio of the generated images. The Icon and Header modes will ignore this selection.

Creative Mode: Enable this option if you want to get more varied and creative outputs. Behind the scenes, Ludo will automatically generate additional prompts based on your inputs, resulting in a much larger output variety. The relevance of the results may also vary though, so experimentation is key.

How can I refine or customize the generated images?

Yes. Click the “Choose initial image” button and you can select any image from your device or your favorites to let Ludo.ai use as a reference image.

Ludo.ai will then use your source image to generate something similar that resembles the image you uploaded. You should also provide an input describing what you want to see in the final image. For example, if you upload an image of a dinosaur, you could type in "dinosaur catching balls".

You can control what to retain from the original image:
- Details: Keep the main image edges (including fine details)
- Composition: Keep the overall composition (depth map)
- Color: Keep the colors of original image.

Can I use a reference image to generate an image?

Yes. If you want to improve or modify one of the generated images, click on the edit button "Generate Similar Images" in the top right of an image (on hover).

New images will be generated that are based on that initial one. You can control how to modify the original image by changing the text input or any of the filters. You can also decide what you want to retain from the original image, and how closely you want to stick to it. See the question above for further details on what these options do.

Can I edit or improve a generated image?

After selecting the image to edit, you can provide in the input box a wide range of instructions to alter your image, such as:

* Adding new elements or objects
* Removing or modifying existing parts of the image
* Replacing certain elements with something else
* Changing the overall color scheme, setting, or artistic style
* Adjusting the composition, lighting, or perspective

Some examples:

* Replace the tree branch with a cactus
* Add a rainbow arcing across the sky
* Enlarge the lemon wedge
* Change the horse's color to white
* Change the overall color scheme to purple and pink hues

What kind of instructions can I give to modify my image?

When you generate an image you want to keep, click the "Add to Favorites" button at the top right of the image. This will save it to your Favorites within Ludo.ai, where you can easily find it later. You can also click the download icon to save the image file locally to your device.

How do I save my favorite generated images?

If you find that the Image Generator is not producing results that match your vision, try the following:

1. Be more specific in your prompts. Include clear details about the desired characters, setting, colors, and other elements you want to see.
2. Use the genre, art style and color filters to better guide the image generation towards your preferences.
3. Try rephrasing your prompt using different keywords and descriptions that evoke the same concept.
4. Generate variations on the most relevant result to refine it closer to your intended output.

What should I do if the generated images are not relevant to my prompts?

Enabling "Creative Mode" in the Image Generator instructs the AI to be more imaginative, diverse, and detailed in its outputs. When Creative Mode is on, the generated images will vary more in composition, colors, and visual elements compared to your prompt.

If you want the AI to adhere more strictly to your prompt text and selected filters, keep Creative Mode toggled off. This will result in images that are more literal interpretations of your input.

Experiment with Creative Mode to see which setting produces results closest to your vision for different projects and pieces.

What is the purpose of the "Creative Mode" toggle?

Yes, we provide the following options:

- Auto: chosen automatically based on the image type and platform.
- Square: 1:1 format
- Landscape: 4:3 format (tablet)
- Portrait: 5:9 format (phone)

The header image type is fixed to the 2:1 format, and the icon image type is fixed to the 1:1 format.

Is there a way to generate images in different resolutions or sizes?

The Image Strength slider determines how much of the original image is preserved when applying your modifications. A higher strength means the edits will be more subtle, while a lower strength allows for more dramatic changes.

If you want to make significant alterations to the image, set the strength to a lower value. For minor tweaks and adjustments, a higher strength is better.

How does the "Image Strength" setting affect the editing process?

Yes, you can include multiple modification instructions in the same prompt. For example, you could write something like:

"Remove the mountains in the background, change the car's color to bright red, and add a full moon in the night sky."

The AI will attempt to apply all the specified edits to your image at once.

Can I edit multiple aspects of my image in a single instruction?

In some cases, the AI may struggle to accurately apply very complex or contradictory editing instructions. If the modifications you requested are not reflected in the output image, try rephrasing your instructions to be more specific or breaking them down into smaller, individual edits.

You can also try adjusting the Image Strength and regenerating the image to see if that yields better results. If the AI still can't get it quite right, you may need to experiment with different instructions or start with a new base image.

What happens if the AI is unable to make the changes I requested?

Not yet! At this moment, the edits can always affect the full image. We are working on delivering this feature to you as soon as possible.

Can I edit only parts of an image?

Nope! You can edit and regenerate variations of your image as many times as you like. This allows you to iteratively refine your image until you achieve the desired outcome.

Just keep in mind that each edit counts toward your monthly generation limit on your Ludo.ai plan. If you exhaust your generation credits, you'll need to upgrade your plan or wait until the next month to make further edits.

Is there a limit to how many times I can edit the images?

Market Analysis is a comprehensive research tool that finds games related to your game topic or idea and provides a detailed breakdown through many different statistics, allowing you to understand the dynamics of that game topic over time.

The stats are broken down into:

1 - Topic / Keywords / Genre (which highest-ranked games belong in this category)

2 - Long-term popularity: Compares the success of the game topic against other topics in general in terms of new players.

3 - Short-term trend: Measures the popularity of the game in the last week, and compares it with other topics or games in general.

4 - Market accessibility: This measures the percentage of games in the topic that have reached the Top 500 overall most played games over the past year.

5 - Game topic age: Measures how long ago the games in this topic have been released, on average. This can indicate whether the game topic is fairly recent, or if the games have been around for a long time.

6 - Originality: Measures how unique the game topic is, in the sense of how many similar existing games are already out there.

What is Market Analysis?

Market Analysis is used as a research tool to gain insights into specific statistics and metrics of your desired chosen game topic.

The Market Analysis feature helps you evaluate the feasibility of your ideas by providing insights into current market trends, player preferences, and potential target audiences. This information aids in making informed decisions and refining your concepts to align with market demands.

What is Market Analysis used for?

Type in a search term or use the keywords you’re looking for and click Add to Analysis. Ludo will create a game topic by finding existing games that are related to your search terms. You can see the created topic on the left in the topic list below the search bar. You will see the main keywords that define that topic, as well as the list of games that are part of it and some essential statistics.

If you find that the created topic is too narrow (very few games), you can change the mode to "Wide" and try again. Conversely, if you think the created topic is to broad (too many games), change the mode to "Narrow" and try again.

You can add up to five topics for comparison.

How do I start using the Market Analysis tool?

When searching for a game topic to analyze, you have a few options to refine your search:

- Source: Choose which app store (AppStore & PlayStore or Steam) to pull game data from
- Country: Select which country's game market to analyze

What is Search?

Just like a search engine search bar, all you have to do is input any text phrase, game title, keyword, topic, or genre of game you’d like to search for and press the “Search” button. You can even upload game images or movies to start your search.

You’ll be shown results from potential Games, Icons, and Screenshots results. You can choose to narrow your search results only to Games, Icons, or Screenshots.

How do I start using the Search tool?

Ludo understands a wide variety of queries, including game mechanics, themes, sub-genres, game features, visual styles, etc. And you can be very specific in your search results if you select an existing game or upload an image or video of your game.

What can I search for?

Feeling inspired? You can start generating a brand new Game Idea by clicking on the three dots menu and clicking “Generate based on this game”, or clicking the pencil icon to “Generate similar images” or “Generate similar icons”. You will open up the Game Ideator page or Image Generator page by doing so.

Found a particular game you want to narrow down and focus your search results on? Click on the three dots menu and click “Search similar” to find more games based on this result.

Don't forget you can click Favorite on your chosen games, icons, or screenshots to be saved for reference later or you can add it directly to a Game Concept project you’re already working on.

What can I do with these search results?

**Genres**: Filter the results by game genre(s).

**Platform**: Filter by platform.

**Stores**: Filter by the store in which the game is published.

**Release date**: Filter by how long ago the game was initially released.

**Graphic style**: Filter by the graphic style of the game.

**Colors**: Filter by the game's or image's dominant colors.

**Top Developers Only**: Only show results from well established developers/publishers.

What do the available filters do?

There are a number of possible causes for this:

1. Your search query is too broad. If you search for "car race", for example, there are tens or hundreds of thousands of suitable results, and you might not get exactly what you were looking for. In this case, try narrowing down your query (ex: "car race in the desert"), or use search filters (genre, platform, release date, graphic style, etc), or both.

2. Your search query is too specific. If you use too many filters and/or search for something too specific, there might not be any games that perfectly fit the query, and so you'll get less relevant results. Try removing some filters or broadening up your query.

3. You selected a game without information. If you select one existing game in your query, but that game doesn't have relevant metadata (description, images, etc), then Ludo can only use the game title, which is prone to inaccuracies. Try selecting a different game or add some text to the search query.

I'm not getting relevant results, what can I do?

If you want to find games similar to a particular title you found, simply click on that game in the search results. Then click the three dots menu and select "Search similar". This will show you games that are closely related to your selected title.

Alternatively, you can start typing the exact title of a game in the input box at the top. Choose the game in the dropdown list when it appears.


How can I find games related to a specific game I'm interested in?

When you find a game, icon or screenshot you want to save for later, simply click the Favorites button on that asset. You can then access your favorited items anytime. You also have the option to add a favorited item directly to an existing Game Concept project.

How do I save games, icons or screenshots I find in my searches?

Definitely! If a game in the search results inspires you, click the three dots menu and select "Generate based on this game" to open the Game Ideator with that title as an input. For icons and screenshots, click the pencil icon and choose "Generate similar images" or "Generate similar icons" to open the Image Generator and create new assets in a similar style.

Can I use the Search results to generate new game ideas?

Check if you have any filters applied that could be limiting the results too much. Try removing some of these filters.

I'm getting no results when I search for a game or keyword. What could be wrong?

The relevance of "Search similar" results can sometimes vary depending on the specific game and how much data we have on closely related titles. If you're seeing inconsistent results, try using the "Search similar" option on a different game in the same genre to see if you get more relevant matches. You can also try manually searching for keywords related to the game to find other similar titles. If you continue to get poor "Search similar" results, please let our team know so we can work on improving the relevance of those suggestions.

I'm getting inconsistent or irrelevant results when using the "Search similar" option on a game. Why is this happening?

Yes, the Search tool provides several filters that let you refine your results by visual criteria. In the "Filters" section of the left sidebar, look for options like "Graphic Style" (e.g. 3D, Pixel Art, Cartoon) and "Colors" to narrow down your search results by art style and color palette. You can also search for specific visual keywords like "neon" or "hand-drawn" in the main search bar.

Can I search for game assets by art style, color scheme, or other visual criteria?

Yes, when you click on a game in the search results, you'll see an "Overview" section that includes key analytics and performance metrics for that title. Depending on the game and available data, this may include the game's peak chart position, current chart position, number of ratings, average rating, and more.

Does the Search tool provide any analytics or performance data on the games it finds?

Top Charts Blender is a tool that allows you to take top trending games, select them from their charts, and use them to blend them into brand-new game concept ideas.

This allows for some truly unique combinations and removes the head-scratching brainstorming work of trying to come up with your own concept - saving you time and effort!

What is Top Charts Blender?

1 - Firstly, load up the top charts by choosing which store, country, and genre you wish to choose your games from.

2 - Then select the game you want from the top charts lists. Click on "Add to Ideator" (the lightbulb button next to the game title). Once you’ve selected a game, the Game Ideator tab will pop open. This pop-up tab is basically a miniature version of the Game Ideator feature, only now it can be used directly in the Top Charts Blender page to blend games.

3 - Optionally, choose more games to add to your Game Ideator. Use the same process as described in (2). We don't have hard limits, but blending from 1 to 3 games typically works best.

4 - Finally, click “Start New Generation” to blend your games into a brand-new idea! Save the ideas you like by adding to your Favorites, or take them to the next level by clicking on "Select this idea", which will start a new game concept document based on it.

Remember to experiment and be as creative as you want to come up with unique results! Try removing games from the input list and replacing them with new ones.
